Calhoun Cottage is completed.
This cottage was completed in 1932, largely through the efforts of Calhoun County 4-H’ers. Like many of the other cabins, it is named after the county that predominately helped fund the project. Many of the materials used in the construction were donated – the foundation and mantle of the fireplace came from the old county courthouse. Several private rooms were built onto the back and front of the cottage in the mid-1960s. Today there a total of six private rooms, two on either side of the front entrance and four in the back of the building. The main dorm space can sleep 24 people comfortably.
