Camping

WVU Jackson’s Mill is home to the first state 4-H camp in the country. Each year several 4-H camps including Teen Leader Weekend, Code Camp, Dance Weekend, Ultimate Outdoor Weekend, Older Members Conference, New Horizons Camp, Alpha 1 and Alpha 2, are held at Jackson’s Mill. Other camps not affiliated with WVU can also be held at Jackson’s Mill like band camps, nonprofit organizations and more. Call 304-269-5100 for more details about holding a camp at Jackson’s Mill. Weddings & Receptions

Plan your dream wedding at WVU Jackson's Mill.

Your wedding can be held at various locations throughout the property including the All Faiths Chapel, All Star Garden (outside), Amphitheatre (outside), Assembly Hall and the West Virginia Building. All venues include chairs for up to 200 guests (except for the chapel), piano and keyboard access, public address system, opportunity for rehearsal on the day prior to the event (if available) and one table to use during the ceremony.

We also offer receptions in the Mount Vernon Dining Hall. This includes the use of the building as well as use of the three room suites above the Dining Hall for the night of the reception. Menus for receptions are priced by selected dish.

RV Parking

There are 19 designated RV areas with and without hookups in the Robin Hayhurst RV Park. Each camper site has a metal fire pit ring. There is one bathhouse near the camper sites. A sewage dump station is near the camper sites, although there is no sewer hookup at the camp spot itself. Each camper space is priced at $40 per night, plus tax. Food Service

Our talented food service employees can provide meals for your group staying at WVU Jackson's Mill. Chef Brandy Stire, Food Service Manager, makes the menus and food for groups that come to WVU Jackson's Mill. Banquet menus are available for groups that book a banquet.

Seasonal cookie trays are available to purchase during the winter holidays. Cookie tray varieties include chocolate chip, peanut butter, whitehouse cherry, chocolate no-bake, peanut butter no-bake, lemon, German chocolate thumbprint, snickerdoodle, oatmeal, cranberry and white chocolate.
