Randolph Cottage construction begins
This building was started in 1927 but was not completed until July of 1931. The construction was funded primarily by the 4-H’ers of Randolph County, who were asked to provide either a single chicken or one dollar to be used towards the building’s construction. The interior of the cottage is composed of a central room with a fireplace and dormitory rooms on either side. Originally the central room was an open porch, which was enclosed in the early 1960s. Today, Randolph Cottage comfortably sleeps 48, making it one of our largest dorm spaces, second only to the Northern Panhandle Cottage.
