Gilmer Cottage

Gilmer Cottage is constructed primarily of stone and was built through the cooperation of the schoolteachers and the 4-H clubs of Gilmer County, and was completed in September of 1929. The interior of the two-story building is divided into different sized sleeping rooms. It can sleep 23 people, comfortably. For years, following the conversion of the Administration Building, the rear of Gilmer Cottage served as the camp Health Center until recently. That area is now a small apartment-style private room, which is furnished with multiple beds and a private bathroom and separate entrance.

Barbour Cottage

Barbour Cottage was constructed in 1929 and is a popular cottage primarily due to the porches on both sides of the building. The cottage was remodeled after it was extensively damaged by fire in 1944. It is the smallest of the 14 cottages on the grounds. Currently, it can sleep 18 people comfortably. Like most of our cottages, it is dorm-style sleeping arrangements and communal bathroom facilities.
