Monroe Cottage is built.
The 4-H members from Monroe County actually came to Jackson’s Mill to work on their cottage, which was dedicated in May of 1928. The building was modernized in 1949, and two private rooms were later added on each side of the front porch. Today, the Monroe cottage can sleep 36 people comfortably in two large dormitory rooms inside the main cottage space.
