Catherine “Katy” Jackson White, the older sister of Cummins Jackson and the first child of Edward and Elizabeth Brake Jackson, Edward’s second wife, receives ownership of the Jackson land and mill following the death of her husband in that year. She had finally acquired it following the lengthy legal disputes within the family.
